Nazi artwork from the Third Reich – today, it is stored in large warehouses outside of Berlin and on Air Force bases in Virginia, USA. Thousands of often oversized paintings, busts, and sculptures have been kept for decades but practically never exhibited. Why? Because these works of art still have propagandistic effects or because artistically they are simply too bombastic and banal? Can traces of this aesthetic sometimes even be found in today’s advertising or in comic-book heroes and video and war games? A cinematic journey into the almost invisible world of Nazi art.
